September’s Theme: All About Fermenting!

I am so excited to share our theme for September! Something I am absolutely passionate about, a bit of an expert in and literally obsessed with!

You may have guessed, it's Fermenting and I could happily fill a month just listing all the amazing fermented foods and drinks and their benefits!

I am hooked on ferments, I literally can’t imagine my life without them, that’s how amazing they are! They are superfoods of the highest order, rocket fuel for our good gut microbes with the power to transform our health on every level!

Sourdough, kefir, kombucha, kimchi, sauerkraut, miso and tempeh are among my favourites and literally every culture has their own!

Apart from the health benefits, ferments taste amazing, are simple and inexpensive to make, and among the safest foods to eat.

I will be hosting a Free Zoom Workshop this month, A Taste of Fermentation, exclusively for Wellness Hub members, covering all the fermented foods and drinks and how to make them, as well as the best shop bought options. So now is the perfect time to join!

I will be adding more recipes to the Fermenting Section on the Wellness Hub, recommending the best Fermenting books and popping up on the FB page with top tips!

Don’t forget that when you sign up to The Wellness Hub you also get free downloads of all my e-books, which includes 2 with a focus on fermenting!

September is also a great foraging month, especially for all the berries; elderberries, blackberries/brambles, hawthorn berries, rowan berries and rosehips can be found in abundance! These are all immune boosters, provided by nature just when we need them, so I will be sharing some of my favourite ways to use them!

In other exciting news, I am being filmed for a new series on Food on BBC2, talking about the wonderful world of ferments with a bit of foraging thrown in!! I’ll be sure to share when the episode is being aired!

September looks like it will be our best month yet! Come and join the fun!
